Full pricing: The 16GB, Wi-Fi-only version costs $500, while the 32GB is $600 and 64GB is $700. Pricing increases by $130 to add 3G. The Wi-Fi-only models ship in 60 days, while 3G models will ship in 90 (Wi-Fi models shipping in late March. 3G models shipping in April).
Apple is trying to pitch the iPad in between the Macbook and iPhone/ iPod.
And iPad will be available in late March worldwide
While its not as exciting as we expected, the 499 USD iPad would be a great show off ! what do you think ?
Gaming sites have said that current gaming apps will not work well with the larger screen, but did admit that the game apps specially made for the iPad show a lot of promise.

During its launch there was more silence than applause for the Apple product that should be called as super gadget. Steve Jobs had commented on it as being better than laptop and a smart phone. But without flash it does not fulfill the promise of being better than laptop and a smart phone. After the launch of this iPad the market was so much disappointed that its share frequently fell down. The disappointment of the people is also related to the fact that AT&T is the sole 3G carrier for the iPad.
Following are the features that are missing in the iPad due to which it gained so much disappointment.

• iPad USB ports – USB ports in this iPad are absent, so a person can’t plug in his USB drive to transfer photos to it.
• iPad Flash – As Apple won’t approve Flash player so no flash support is present there.
• iPad Multi-tasking – Multi-tasking is unacceptable for a Tablet having a starting price-point of $499 so it is not present in it.
• iPad Camera – No camera is present on the front or back of the iPad.

The new iPad device was announced January 27, 2010 in California drew cheers on some points and disappointment due to the lack of USB ports, Flash capability, camera, and phone have many wondering if the device is worth the price.
IPad has a display of 9.7 inches and Apple’s own 1GHz chip. Crowds at the live press conference event cheered enthusiastically for the features.
Internet access will be through either WiFi or AT&T on select 3GS models. Pricing for the data plans were set at $14.99 for 250 MB use and $29.99 a month for unlimited use.
The iPad has several different price points starting at $499.
The unit comes built in with 802.11n WiFi and BlueTooth v2.1 and a range of 16-64 GB of Flash memory capacity.
The unit is reported to weigh 1.5 pounds and is 0.5 inched thick.
